The Savage Axis Compact XP is a left-handed bolt-action rifle chambered in .308 Win., with a 20-inch barrel and a matte black finish. It comes with a Viridian Eon 3-9x40 scope and a textured black synthetic stock. The store lists this rifle as used, while the supplier notes describe a new unit shown in a stock photo.

The left-hand action and stock configuration suit a left-handed hunter or range shooter who wants a scoped bolt rifle ready to go. A .308 Win. chambering is a centerfire cartridge, and centerfire rifles are legal for deer in most states. A few states restrict cartridges or zones, and seasons and tags vary, so check current regulations before the season opens. The included optic is a Viridian Eon, so the scope is part of the package rather than an add-on.
