The Hi-Point 995TS is a 9mm semi-automatic carbine with a 16.5-inch barrel and a 31-inch overall length. It weighs 6.25 pounds and holds 10+1 rounds. The stock is all-weather molded polymer with a skeletonized shape that keeps the weight down. Standard sights come fitted, and the carbine has Picatinny rails plus a scope base for accessories. A thumb safety and a grip-mounted magazine release are included, along with an internal recoil buffer and a last-round lock-open.

This carbine suits recreational shooters, range training and general-purpose use, since 9mm ammunition is widely available and the controls are simple. The rails and scope base make it a practical platform for adding an optic later. Whether it fits deer hunting depends on state rules for handgun calibers, so check your state's current regulations before any hunting use.
