No. This is designed as a drop-in barrel for standard Glock 19 slides. It should install without the need for gunsmithing.
What ammunition does it work with?
Our experience shows it runs very well with standard 115gr and 124gr FMJ rounds. We did have one instance of a hiccup with a specific 147gr subsonic load, so function with heavier subsonics may vary.
Is the finish durable?
Yes. The Python finish is a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating, which is known for its hardness and resistance to wear, corrosion, and chemicals.
