Does this barrel require a thread protector?
Yes. This barrel is threaded and does not include a thread protector. We recommend using one to protect the threads when a muzzle device is not installed. They are available separately.
Is this compatible with aftermarket slides?
In our experience, yes. This drop-in barrel is designed to Glock 17 specifications and functions reliably in most quality aftermarket slides. As with any component swap, function testing is advised.
Will this work with an OEM Glock recoil spring assembly?
Yes. This barrel is designed to work with the factory recoil spring and guide rod assembly in your Glock 17.
